Inside Brooklyn’s BOOM RAVE
On the first night in October, a 12-hour party called BOOM RAVE went down as a part of the BOOM BK festival – 3 days of art and music events held in spaces across Bushwick featuring 98 artists including Wavy Lady’s own Suzi Analogue.
The BOOM RAVE, started at 12am midnight was scheduled to go into 12pm the afternoon the next day – and to our surprise did so flawlessly – including electro legends Umfang, Volvox, Kim Ann Foxman, Octo Octo, LSDXOXO, Jacky Sommer, and a 10am live set from Suzi Analogue, performed for all the die-hard ravers.
The most awesome thing about the BOOM BK festival was that it was curated mostly by women and POC including our wavy friends at Discwoman who were the main curators of the music for the fest. Another amazing thing is that all of these events were free for the people, to dance safely and freely into the night through the next day.
Here are some images of the night/morning caught by our friend Higz. Stay tuned for more wild events from the Discwoman crew.
